"There is only dark, my friend." – Alejandro

In the turbulent area between the Mexico-U.S. border, idealistic FBI agent Kate Macer (Emily Blunt) is enlisted by a big-shot government liaison (Josh Brolin) to join an elite task for and disrupt the powerful Juárez Cartel.

Led by a Colombian operative known only as Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), the team sets out on a covert black-ops mission that forces Kate to break the rules in her pursuit of justice.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Incendies), Sicario is a searing crime-thriller about consequentialism; about choices. Do the ends justify the means? If we do immoral things to achieve a virtuous goal, can we still call ourselves the good guys? Or are our hearts darkened beyond repair? [...]

Josh Brolin and George Clooney in Hail, Caesar!

The Coen Brothers' long-gestating Hail, Caesar! is finally arriving into theaters this Friday. The film explores old Hollywood, an age where fixers are hired by major studios to keep actors out of trouble or clean up the trouble by handling the press. Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin), a fixer for Capitol Studios, not only has to deal with impending scandals, but also has to find out where a kidnapped Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) is being held by a mysterious group called The Future.

We were recently invited to sit down at the film's press conference where Brolin, Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Channing Tatum, and Jonah Hill were on hand to talk about the film's comedy, not improving a perfect Coen Brothers' script, not making any suggestions to Roger Deakins, and more. [...]

The Coen Brothers films are the reason why we go to the movies. And as such we are given an experience unlike any other. From the drama of a struggling musician in Inside Llewyn Davis to the issues of morality in No Country For Old Men to the dark comedy of Fargo, the Coens prove time and again that they are clearly ahead of the curve and are just the smartest men in the room.

Their latest project, Hail, Caesar! is like a love letter to the Golden Age of Hollywood. Which is great, if it actually took the time to be something other than just a love letter to the Golden Age of Hollywood. While the film touts an incredible all-star cast playing roles of all sizes, it is probably too smart for its own good. [...]

Following the success of Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds teased the idea of getting an X-Force film off the ground. The film would follow a black-ops team of mutants, led by the time-traveling Cable, that would take a more proactive stance against threats to mutantkind. Recently, it was confirmed that Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces) would pen the script. But that still left the film without a director.

Now there's word that Fox has tapped Drew Goddard, writer of films like Cloverfield and Deadpool 2, to write and direct X-Force. More on the story below [...]

Avengers: Infinity War

One of the highlights of the first look at Avengers: Infinity War at D23 Expo 2017 was Thanos (Josh Brolin) raising his hand in the air and make a throwing motion. Only thing is, he wasn't throwing an energy ball, he was hurling an entire celestial object at our title heroes.

Up until now, fans who didn't get a chance to see it had to paint a mental image of that in their heads. Now they get to see what that looks like in some newly released images. As we get closer to the release of the sequel, more and more promotional material will hit the web. Then there's the inevitable trailer, which will try to match or surpass the first trailer. But for now, let's just settle for the new images, which you can check out below [...]

Thanos

"You got to break some eggs if you want to make an omelet" is an idiom used to describe a situation where, if a person wants to achieve a certain goal, sacrifices have to be made. So how does that apply to someone like Thanos (Josh Brolin), whose views are nothing but destruction?

Well, it appears that one man's destruction is another Mad Titan's saving the universe. In EW's exclusive coverage of Avengers: Infinity War, it is revealed that Thanos isn't out to destroy the universe outright. He is actually here to save it. The only thing is, he knows that he may have to kill off another in order to achieve his goal. More on the story, below [...]

Avengers: Infinity War

Earlier this week, it was revealed that in Avengers: Infinity War Thanos (Josh Brolin) had some big plans for everyone in the galaxy. He is going to save it by wiping half of it out. The only thing is, two of the remaining stones, that we know of, are on Earth. So he'll have to pay the planet a visit, while also wiping out "half of humanity" and leaving things "perfectly balanced, as all things should be."

But it's not like the Avengers are just going to stand there and take it. However, it's not like they have any choice but to die -- at least that's what the new trailer shows us. Who will die? Who will survive? Check out the full new trailer and poster here [...]
